Indian restaurant in Daejeon

There is a good Indian restaurant in Korea called "Indy."  Last Friday, I went there with some friends to celebrate payday!  I got a lamb dish.

Seoul with Tessa

Our last weekend was spent in Seoul.  We met my "Korean mother's" daughter and she acted as our tour guide.  We hiked Namsan, a mountain in the center of the city, visited a palace, experienced a traditional tea house, and enjoyed other sights of the city.

The DMZ

Tessa and I chose to finish her trip with visit to the DMZ.  We chose the most thorough full -day tour which included stops at 3rd infiltration tunnel, Panmunjom, Freedom Bridge, and other notable sights.  It was a very eerie place at times.  We had a good tour guide which really added to the experience.

Tessa comes!

My friend Tessa was able to come and spend 3 weeks with me here in Daejeon.  While it was not during my vacation period, we still lucked out in being able to see and do many things.   Here are a few pictures of the highlights (temples, Jeju Island, a theme park, Dr. Fish treatment, hot springs, tea farms, soccer games, palaces, etc, etc)
